September, 2025 - A NEW BREW Added to the Flight! ⚡️
It’s happening, friends. Captain Zig’s very own Oatmeal STOUT recipe is on the market, hot off the canning line! Meet Zig’s “Goodnight Stout”. Mike and I were at the brewery this morning to watch the packaging take shape. Experiencing the magic happen just doesn’t get old for us! It’s fun to watch our beer recipes get brewed & canned on such a large scale!
"Goodnight" is a Stout recipe we have been very excited to share with the masses for a long time. Years ago, this recipe was inspired by a trip to the North & South ends of Ireland, a trip in which we thoroughly enjoyed the freshly poured Guinness Stout as well as the perfectly poured Murphy’s Stout. Whatever your preference, we assure you that Zig’s new “Goodnight” Oatmeal Stout will have you wanting it to become a mainstay in your fridge. All year round. Just like they do in Ireland.
Similar to our IPA (Goosecake), Ale (Sound Summer) & Pilsner (Sidekick), this Stout really does the job. The ABV is still low enough (4.5%) so you can enjoy more than just one without feeling like a bag of hammers. We chose to launch "Goodnight" in the crisp, early days of the fall because that is how we like to drink it. However, we’ve come to love this smooth sensation in the warmer temps as well. On our latest trip to Ireland in August—coincidentally during a rare heat wave—we discovered that Guinness and Murphy’s are just as satisfying in sweltering heat as they are on a crisp fall day! We have been perfecting the Goodnight Stout recipe for years for this very reason. Drink it because it's good. Not because the weather tells you so. Over the past few years we continued to perfect it and hope you love drinking it the same way we do.
Just like any goodnight story, Zig’s “Goodnight” Oatmeal Stout will transport you to tales of awesomeness. Enjoy responsibly as a session or as a night cap. Either way, you’ll be the hero in your very own goodnight story…Slainte!
